Question: Hi doc,

I have been taking finesteride almost 3 years for hair fall till date.A couple of months back i noticed less viscous sperm and low ejaculation volume. 10 days ago i started feeling pain in my right testicle. (Orchaligia).i consulted one XXXXXXX He asked for semen analysis and low abdomen sonography report. While the sonography report is completely normal..In semen analysis it was found very low sperm motility. . Here i am attaching the semen analysis report. He prescribed UBINEXT PLUS for 30 days and also asked to stop taking fin forever. Is this a side effect of fin..does low sperm mobility means i am completely infertile. Cant i take fin here after.. will i be able to be a father in future.?...kindly suggest.. also attaching the blood report forCBC.

Brief Answer:
Continue medicines

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I saw the attached reports.

Following is my reply:

1) Finasteride is a possible reason for low motility.

2) But it is difficult to say if finasteride is the only reason for low motility and whether motility will improve if you stop finasteride..

3) I suggest you continue with finasteride as well as UBINEXT as per your doctor's advice and repeat semen analysis after 3 months.

4) Meanwhile stop smoking and alcohol if you have habits.

5) You can definitely father a child in future even if motility is low.

Let me know if you need anymore help.

Brief Answer:
Low motility

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

1) Low motility could be due to stress, smoking, inadequate physical exercise etc..

2) Ubinext is an antioxidant medicine that will help in removing dead cells and toxic substances and help sperms to grow better.

3) Stop finasteride only if you feel hair loss is fine. Stopping finasteride will help in increasing motility.
