Question : General advice needed on controlling blood augar for my father.I am attaching reports for the tests done recently.

For some reason the reports didn't get attached.Please review the reports and advice based on observations.

Thanks for your response.
The reports are suggestive of need of medicines- statins and oral hypoglycemics.
A small dose like atrovastatin 20 mg and metformin 500 mg is what I would have adviced.
Accompany this with diabetic diet, and moderate regular physical exercise.
I am assuming that since you did not respond to the second question of my prior response, that he is on no medications.
Starting a small dose of antiplatelets like aspirin 75 mg is suggested by many physicians.

Thank you. My father has been taking following medicines.
Starcad beta 25 one od morning
cilacar T one od morning
glyciphage sr 1 gm 1bd after meal
unistar 75 one dose at night
Any dietary recommendations would be appreciated.
