Brief Answer:
Normal variation

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
I have seen the attached reports and they are well within normal limits and the slight deviation from normal are common as these are calculated via software which always has some margin of error which is normal.
So keep proper diet control and regular sugar monitoring as well as daily fetal movement count.
As long as baby is gaining weight all is well
wish you a healthy pregnancy.

Dr Manisha

But the doc after seeing the 28weeks scan said , because the ac is high they may have to go for c sec.
Why have they recommended another scan in the next 4 weeks ?
Also, what is fetal movement count ? Is it 10 movements in an hour ?

Answered by Dr. Manisha Jain (10 hours later)
Brief Answer:
yes keep diet control

Detailed Answer:
Good movements are 10 in 12 hours.
yes your doctor is right in saying that you might need a c section in case AC continues to rise which is a common problem in diabetic patients.
So just a regular growth scan and good diet control is the only thing that you can do at your part.
Take care

Thank you! Doc!
If you see the two scans the Ac has been consistent on 86 percentile does that still mean its been growing at a faster rate ?
As i mentioned earlier i do not have GD as my fasting has always been below 100 and has never crossed that number. Is there anyother parameter that i should consider, should i start monitoring post meal levels too, to see if i have gestational diabetes.
The radiologist said its just a healthy baby.
I am on a very strict diet already! Also i have been regularly excercising and walking, i go for prenetal yoga classes ..thourougly confused ..please help and guide!

Brief Answer:
Investigations advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, it is common to have big baby in patients with gestational diabetes and it is very important to do post meal sugars to see the effect of diabetes on sugar profile and indirectly on baby.
Don't take it lightly at all and also get HbA1c levels in blood to see the sugar status of your body in past 3 months.
Keep tight diet control.
Also keep record of fetal movement and let's hope for the best.

Hello Doc, i had an appointment with my doctor yesterday to show the reports and she dint seem to be worry or bother much about it. After i insisted she asked me to go a endocronologist. The endochronolgist too dint worry much after seeing the glucose result which was conducted in 20th week of pregnancy and asked me to be on a strict diet , which i told him i am already am on. He asked me to check fast and asked me to come to him if it goes above 100 and 2 hour post meal come to him if it goes above 120-130. But i havnt still got a satisfactory answer from anyone as to why the AC is on a higher side! Plz help! Ps- i am consulting with one of the best docs in XXXXXXX but these unsatisfactory answrs are worrying me

Brief Answer:
Post meal sugar control mandatory

Detailed Answer:
I understand your confusion and anxiety but firstly there is nothing to worry as it is high normal.
AC is many a times on higher side till 34 weeks and more so in diabetic patients.
Post meal sugars if deranged can cause exuberant growth of baby which causes increased AC and thus I wanted you to check post meal sugars after every meal for a week. make a chart and send me the picture of that chart.
Most important at her stage is glucose control and fetal movement
If they are fine then just keep visiting your gynecologist at regular intervals and hope for the best.

Thank you Doc for a satisfactory answer i am going to keep a tab on post meal sugar levels.
Should it be post bf or lunch ?after One hour or 2 hour ? And what should be the normal range for tge above? I will send you pixture of the findings !
Also another question, are fetal hiccups normal ? I read on the internet that after 32 weeks increased fetal hiccup should be informed to the doctor. Please advice!

Brief Answer:
All oat meal sugar and fasting blood sugar

Detailed Answer:
You are most welcome dear.
Do all three post meal sugars and fasting blood sugar for a week and fasting should be less than 95 mg/dl and post meals 120 mg/dl or less after 2 hours of the meal.
Keep a strict diet control but keep a tab on hypoglycaemia also.
Fetal hiccups are normal and thus nothing to worry about them.

Brief Answer:
Fasting deranged

Detailed Answer:
I have seen the attachments and would like to tell you that must of your fasting sugars are abnormal and thus you need even better diet control or better take a duet chart of 1800-2000 calories from a dietitian.
Don't take it lightly as it can cause severe garm to the baby.

Brief Answer:
Fasting us high for pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
No dear, 100 fasting is too high in pregnancy so discuss with your endocrinologist that you are pregnant so that he advises you accordingly.
just cut on rice and take toned milk and see the difference. Daliya if minimal portion is fine.
No need of any medication at this stage.
