Question: Hello
I thought I would come and give an update and again see if you have any ideas of what my next steps should be
Last sat I had an echo done by a technician and here in Canada.. I did go see my go today for holiday greetings and asked if my results were in she said no it has been a week I am alittle anxious about this but she did sau not to b until we Rex results so these r the test that I have done for the cheat pain that I get on and off have had it on and off for years
ECG - possible lft arterial enlargement
Blood work which included traponin normal
Blood pressure normal
Echo waiting for results
In the past 2 years I have done ECG blood work and did a stress test 2013 or 2014 and that came back normal the diagnosis is costo but I have also heard this is Mia diagnosed
Is there any reason that I should worry about this being cardiac and serious ?
Also I am scheduled to see a pain med dr and and osteopath
Should I take Advil as I heard u shouldn't take these if u have cardiac problems

Brief Answer:
You can safely take advil.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome back on HCM!

Your symptoms don't seem to be related to any cardiac disorders (including cardiac ischemia). Your performed cardiac tests are another argument in favor of this fact.

Based on your symptomatology I would conclude on a musculoskeleletal pain which could explain your complaints.

Coming to this point, you can safely take ibuprofen (Advil)or any other painkillers (acetaminophen, naproxen, etc.).

There is nothing to worry about!

Please upload your echo reports for me to review as soon as you have them .

Hope to have been helpful!

Feel free to ask any other questions whenever you need!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri

Detailed Answer:

Hi again,

Coming to the point, I don't think additional cardiac tests are of much help.

Nevertheless, after having the echo results you could discuss with your attending cardiologist for a possible new cardiac stress test.

Meanwhile, I recommend you to continue working out, as it would be beneficial also regarding anxiety relief.

I will be at your disposal to review your uploaded report.

Kind wishes,

Dr. Iliri
