Question: Nonstemi 3 1/2 months ago. 2 stents inserted at pLAD and mLCx. Echo was 60 -65 %. Subsequent ecgs show inverted t and nonspecific "something " consistently with no change. Holter monitor showed depressed st with exertion. I am on a wait list for stress testing and to see a cardiologist. What can I expect? what could this mean?

Brief Answer:
ECG changes are not always indicate blocked arteries

Detailed Answer:
Dear Mrs,

There are different possibilities:
1. If you have symptoms again, then there is possibility, that you have blocked arteries again. Stent restenosis also possible.
2. In case there are no symptoms, especially in women and patients with arterial hypertension, ECG changes can be false positive, which means, that there are ECG changes in rest and even with exertion without any problem.
So, don't worry so much, especially if you have no complaints, no chest pain on exertion. Just wait for stress test, which is more accurate, probably there is no abnormality.

Wishing you good health
