Question: Urgent please!

Got semen analysis and volume good, ph=8=good I believe, viscosity good, rapid p = 36% apparently good slow p = 5% not good should be 50%. forward p = 41% good as should b above 32%. But apparently main thing is percentage of sperm only 2% & shud b 4%. Is this true & what can we do now? My wife already has 2 children from previous marriage & so we won't get free IVF .

Brief Answer:
Male infertility

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

I am sorry to see that you have low sperm counts and hence male infertility. There are some things that you may do to help increase your sperm counts. First stop all alcohol. Alcohol will suppress the testicles from producing sperm. Second no hot tubs or hot bathing. The higher temperatures around the testicles will also reduce sperm counts. Perhaps stop wearing tight clothing including underwear and wear boxers. If you are taking any medications they also may interfere with sperm production. Lastly low testosterone levels will also reduce sperm counts

In summary
1. Stop all alcohol
2. No hot tub or hot baths
3. Wear loser underwear
4. Follow up with specialist you may also have low testosterone and need testosterone replacement

I hope I answered your question. Please contact us again if you have any additional questions
