Question: I am 62 years old and my weight is 82 kg. I am a diabetic for 2 years and my blood sugar level is under control (HbA1 value is 5.9 and estimated average glucose is 123 mg/dl) with meformin sr 500 twice daily. My BP is 140/80mmHg and I am taking Tablet Tazloc 20 in the morning. In diabetic kidney test my value is 32 microgram/mg of creatinine, urine microalbumin: 46.4, urine creatinine: 144.0 mg/dl. and the doctor has diagonised it as dyslipdemia, micral+. After this finding my doctor has incresed Tazloc 20 to Tazloc 40. Whether i have to avoid prtein intake completely?

Brief Answer:
Tazloc increased to 40, because of microalbuminuri

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend, greetings from HCM. I understand your question.

The treatment you are on and now dose increased to 40 mg, is justifiable because of microalbuminuria. Even though BP is quite in control, telmisartan prevents the damage to your kidney s.
You need to take more proteins as you are losing it in urine. Do not avoid proteins.

Regarding your lipid profile, try to take more of green leafy vegetables, fruits, and oats. Avoid carbohydrates, fried, processed food stuff.
You need to exercise at least walk half an hour to one hour.
