Question : I am having trouble with pressure in my chest. I have no energy. Having some short quick pains that take my breath away. I have had a stress test with EKG. I had a nuclear scan of my heart and it came back that everything was okay. I had a bug that is going around and my chest has hurt ever since then. Since the tests came back okay and I still do not feel good after 5 weeks. Also since I had my tests last Wed I have had gas and belching really bad and have a hard time getting the gas up or whatever it is. I tried earlier to get to he consult but could not find an answer in my mail. Not in my spam. I am trying a different email.

Brief Answer:
In my opinion, we should rule out GERD in your case.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Since your extensive cardiac work up is normal, no need to worry for heart diseases for your symptoms.
Your symptoms like chest tightness, chest pressure, gaseous feeling in stomach, belching etc are suggestive of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease).
So start proton pump inhibitors (pantoprazole) and prokinetic (levosulperide) drugs.
Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
Avoid heavy meals. Avoid hot and spicy food.
Go for walking after meals.
Please let me know if you are having stressful life.
I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
