Question: Hi, I took a Plan B pill 13 days ago, and I have been experiencing vaginal bleeding (different colour to period) along with lower abdominal pains for the last 8 days. I had my period about a week before taking the pill. I am starting to worry. Please advise.

Brief Answer:
It is due to Plan B

Detailed Answer:
HI DEAR AND THANKS FRO YOUR QUERY.

Irregular vaginal bleeding may be due to PLAN B because it contain a big dosage of hormones and cause hormonal changes on your body.

Hence don't use Plan B frequently but try to use another form of birth control.

If bleeding will last more than ten days and it will be abundant than contact with your follow up gynecologist.

Try to use Iron rich foods and much more liquids.

All the best
