What Do Presence Of Bumps Around A Wound Indicate?

default
Posted on Thu, 30 Mar 2017
Question: I fell about a week ago and scraped my hand badly. The scars are healing but I'm starting to notice these small bumps around the wounds. I "punctured" one of these bumps and it seemed to have a small amount of clear fluid in it. What is this? Is it something I should seek medical for?

Brief Answer:
clear fluid means less infection so dont worry and add a tablet form of antibiotic on top of the topical neosporin will be effective for most of cases .

Hi i am Dr Ahmed Aly
thanks for using healthcaremagic site ,
I had gone through your question and understand your concerns ..

Actually i dont think you should worry unless the fluid turns greenish or white , the clear fluid is usually a normal exudate of the swelling and inflammation .
From your given history you took your medications , had daily dressings changed , Neosporin topical ointments are helpful but i recommend you add a systemic antibiotic like ciprobay 750 mg tab twice daily after meals will be effective .
Avoid puncturing more pimples and keep a healthy clean and dry dressing twice daily will be fine .
