Question : I have what seems to be a recurring sore on my finger. This is the third time it has appeared in the last 4 or 5 months. Each time was in a slightly different spot on the same finger. It starts as a light brown bump for a few days and then looks like in the photos attached for a week or so before going away. The two closeups are a few days apart.
It does not itch, burn, or hurt in any way.
What could it be and is it spreadable or contaigious?
Thanks!

Brief Answer:
Possibilities for a sore on finger
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I am Dr. Kakkar (Dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have viewed the Images.
I can see a raw, red bump with a slight, yellow discharge on floor.
I will keep a possibility of a bacterial skin infection - impetigo Or because it is recurrent, perhaps herpes simplex. I suggest you to use a topical antibacterial e.g Neosporin Ointment or Mupirocin Ointment, twice daily.
Regards
