Question : I have 4-5 red "bites" on the back of my head. There area around the red spot is raised like a knot on the head, as if from a bump to the head. But the red spot makes it more like a bug bite. I just returned from 3 nights away. We stayed one night in a mountain cottage and 2 nights in a larger but similar vacation rental. They're near the Appalachian Trail in NC. Not hotel level, but are older homes converted to vacation rentals. A couple of the "bites" were very itchy for a while. Just wanted to know if I could get some advice.
I'm 58 not 85!! Yikes!
I have pictures to send, but I need to send from my phone. I haven't been successful in logging into this website on my phone. It just goes to a blank white screen.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at Healthcaremagic
I have gone through your complaints and it seems to be an insect bite hypersensitivity reaction.
You can upload the photographs of the affected areas under the report section of the site or mail them to YYYY@YYYY as "Attention: Dr Asmeet ".
Meanwhile you can apply cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily and take antihistaminic like tablet Cetrizine 10 mg once daily at bedtime.
