Question : Hello. I have this mild red spot under my lip line. I have had it for a couple of weeks and it has not gone away. It never blistered or scabbed so i dont think it is a cold sore. I also have some hair there so I thought it might be a clogged hair follicle but there is no pain or bump or anything that would indicate that. Do you know what it could be and what I can do about it. It is faint but just concerned it has not gone away. Thanks. I'll upload a picture.

Brief Answer:
Looks like pityriasis XXXXXXX apply topical steroid

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
I have reviewed the attached photograph and it looks like pityriasis XXXXXXX which is a mild eczematous reaction.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply mild topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected area twice daily along with application of a moisturising cream on the entire face 2-3 times in a day.
It will take 3-4 weeks to subside.
Regards
Dr Asmeet
