What Do Small Red Spots On Penis Indicate?
Question: My boyfriend has just noticed three very small spots (like a tear in the skin) on the outer skin of his penis. They are quite small but reddish and look like tiny cut marks. I do not have any symptoms of anything on myself, no discharge, no soreness etc. but obviously am concerned as anyone would be. He has been very poorly recently with cellulitis and a very heavy cold. Could this be associated?

I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same .Development of such cuts over the penile region can occur either due to any kind of trauma or they can occur due to candidal infection.
I would like to know if there was any possibility of trauma prior to development of these cuts in the form of a dry or rough intercourse .
In case of a candidal infection of the penile region also there can be development of fissures or cuts on the penile skin. This can be associated with pain and itching. Sometimes there can be associated whitish discharge over the glans.
In this case, treatment with topical antifungals like canestan cream twice a day is required .
