What Do The Following X-ray Results When With Lower Back Pain Indicate?

There are 5 lumbar type vertebral bodies. There is mild levoscoliosis. The vertebral bodies and pedicles are intact. There is moderate to severe narrowing of the intervertebral disc spaces from L1 to S1 with associated marginal osteophyte formation and facet arthropathy. There is no spondylolisthesis. The paravertebral soft tissues are unremarkable.
Subsequently, I had 2 cortisone injections at S1 with only temporary relief.
Looking for a more permanent, non-invasive solution.
Your need further opinion and work up.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to Health Care Magic, I am Dr Muhammd Ahmad, I have closely read your question and I understand your concerns, I will hereby guide you regarding your health related problem.
According to the current situation, you reports and description of symptoms, in my opinion next best step is to visit a spinal surgeon he can get further high end investigations like MRI done to know the exact nature, extent and severity of the problem and only then , treatment options can be considered.
Here I would like to mention thay in my opinion it seems that you will need some sort of intervention for long standing cure, medications and injections won't work long for you.
Yes, you can discuss about minimally invasive procedures with better efficacy with your spinal surgeon but it will need you to pay him a visit to get a complete detailed checkup along with investigations. Only then the best treatment options can be given to you. On the basis of X-rays one can suspect but exact problem is only described by high end testing.
I hope this answered your question, if you have more feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it.
Regards.
Dr.Muhammad Ahmad.
