What Do The Following Lipid Profile Results Indicate?

My mother aged 58 years went thrugh general check up for lipid profile. Observed the readings to be slightly unusual. Please suggest the course of action in this regard. Thanks in advance.
Best Regards, XXXXXXX XXXXXXX K
please provide more details. Do not worry.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir
The lipid profile has following values (in mg%)
Total Cholesterol-183
LDL-102
HDL-47
VLDL- 34
TG- 168
TC/HDL- 3.9
All these values are acceptable on preliminary look. However since cholesterol values are always interpreted in light of clinical case scenario, I would like you to provide me following information.
1. If she is a diabetic ?
2. If she suffers from heart attack, angina, stroke or any other chronic medical illness?
3. If she has high blood pressure
4. If she takes any medication?
5. What is her usual blood pressure?
Please also mention what unusual thing you want to point out in report?
Waiting for your reply for further elaboration on the issue.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder

Thanks for your reply. My mother has high blood pressure and she takes medication regularly for the same. Bp in the range of 130/90 and medicine being taken is METXL 50/5. She does not have any other complaint related to heart and she is not a diabetic either. She has hypothyroidism as well and undergoing medication for the same. Recent TSH reading was 9. Please let me know if you need any other details. Thanks.
Best Regards, XXXXXXX XXXXXXX K,
good lipid profile. life style modification as advised.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir
I have calculated the 10years risk for heart attack and stroke for the given clinical and lipid profile. It is 3.9% that means she does not require statins (cholesterol lowering medication). She has no other indication for same.
In nut-shell, the lipid profile is good. She only requires like style modifications which include avoiding fried items, avoiding refined sugars, sweets, maintaining optimal weight and daily brisk walking. All these are aimed at maintaining the good lipid profile she has.
Feel free to discuss further.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder
