Brief Answer:
Vitamin D levels ae still low..

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am not sure what was the vitamin D level earlier before starting vitamin D capsule. However the current values are still insufficient. I would suggest continuing vitamin D XXXXXXX 40000 iU once a week for another 6 weeks.

Besides low vitamin D, you have abnormal liver enzymes. Those need to be monitored too.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your response.

I am attaching the previous Vitamin D report for your reference.

Kindly suggest me on the "abnormal liver enzyme". Let me know in case you need the previous report of the same as well.

Brief Answer:
Vitamin D has improved...

Detailed Answer:
Vitamin D has definitely improved with the treatment given. However it is still not back to normal levels. Therefore my suggestion to take the same for another 4-6 weeks.

If you have had liver enzymes done earlier, I would like to review them too. And may I know if you consume alcohol regularly? If yes, how often and from how long?

Thanks. I have uploaded some more liver function test , hope the enzymes you are concerned about are included here. Let me know if this is insufficient. I had done the whole package, so many more past reports are with me.

Regarding alcohol I have taken only socially i.e. once in two months or so not more than 60ml( ~ 40%v/V). I have last time actively taken alcohol only in May/June 2015 due to cold country weather but that is long past.

Could this also be related to other fried food habits like chips/mixture and lack of physical exercise. If yes I can improve on that.

Brief Answer:
Liver enzyme value (ALT) is better than your earlier one...

Detailed Answer:
As I see, the liver enzyme (ALT) has reduced from what it was initially. But as it is more than 100, it needs to be monitored.

Social drinks, fried foods or lack of exercise may not be the direct cause. I will recommend you consulting a gastroenterologist physically. A detailed examination and if necessary viral infection markers may be ordered to rule out possible causes.

Until then, please do cut down oily, fried foods if you think you are taking them in excess. Avoid unnecessary over the counter medications.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any more assistance. If all your concerns are addressed, please close the discussion.

Thanks for your reccomendations. As far as OTC drungs are concerned, I only take 1 to 2 disprine / dolo in the evening in case of headache due to exhaustion or exposure a lot of to sunlight. Hope that is Ok, I will close the discusion if you don't have any alternative suggestion for above drugs. Thanks a lot for reviewing the reports and suggestions.

Brief Answer:
Those drugs are ok if the frequency of intake is low / remote..

Detailed Answer:
Both aspirin (disprin) as well as paracetamol (dolo) are metabolised in the liver. Therefore if its only occasional use, those medications won't affect liver enzymes badly. However you will definitely benefit by visiting a gastroenterologsit.

Hope I have answered your questions to your satisfaction.

Regards
