Question : Hi Doctor,

My wife is in 7th month of pregnancy. Her Glucose Challenge test (GCT) was done on 11th Oct and the result was 210 which was on quite high side as per the doctor.
Doctor had suggested to cut on free sugar and increase walking and conduct following tests after one week. She had undergone the tests on 22nd Oct and the reports are attached. Please see the reports and advise if her sugar is on higher side and what should be the precautions.
1. Glucose fasting
2. Glucose PP
3. HbA1c
4. Fructosamine
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
4-point sugar monitoring

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir, we have had discussions earlier also over this issue.
I hope she is taking care of the dietary precautions told so far.
All her values are very erratic and don't match with each other.
In general fasting sugar should be less than 95, postprandial less than 120, HbA1c less than 6.0 and fructosamine less than 200.
So all are strangely different and not matching with expectations.
In my opinion she needs to do a four point sugar monitoring by daily monitoring of fasting and all three postprandial sugars 2 hours after three major meals.
Follow the diet as advised.
All the best
