Question: my blood test came back with my alt is 62 and my ast is 36 ... what does that mean

I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

Those tests are very very slightly elevated and those changes are not significant and nothing to worry about.

Maybe when you gave the blood for the test you have drank a bit of alcohol, or you have eaten foods that get metabolized in the liver or taken any medication that goes through the liver. all these elevate slightly the liver function tests, but we do not take them as abnormal if those are above 200 level.

So, I would say to not worry about. Repeat them if possible in 6 months keeping in mind the factors that I have mentioned above.
Sometimes it is personal and some people just have them elevated normally always too.
