Brief Answer:
You may have some autoimmune disease with folate deficiency.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question and your all reports.
I can understand your concern.

You have positive ANA. It means you may have some autoimmune disorder. For that you should go for complete ANA profile to search the cause.

You have macrocytic rbcs with low folate suggestive of folic acid deficiency. For that you need to take folic acid tablets.

Your thyroid function test, liver and kidney function test and rest all reports are normal. You should not worry about that. Your cholesterol level is slightly high. You should take low fat diet with high amount of polyunsaturated fatty acids. Go for repeat lipid profile test after 3 months.

Don't worry. Just be relaxed. Just go for complete ANA profile and start treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic.
Wish you a very good health.

How many nos. per day ? How long should I continue this ?

3. Why the BLOOD ELEMENT ANALYSIS gave an Alert msg of " Predominantly
normocytic normochromic with macrocytes and ovalocytes"

Brief Answer:
No fasting needed for ANA, Folic acid found in many forms.

Detailed Answer:

Hi, dear

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

No fasting is required for ANA profile.

You can take Folic acid tablets. Generic name is Folate, available in many forms. You can take 5 mg daily but you should consult your treating doctor and take treatment accordingly. Its is an OTC drug so no prescription is needed.

Alert message is due to folic acid deficiency. It leads to increase in size of rbc. So you have macrocytes and high MCV.

Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer.

Brief Answer:
Single strip test can detect many diseases.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear,

ANA profile test include various antibodies detection. There is a panel of antigen coted on the strip. So in a single test you can detect many antibodies and disease like SLE , DLE, sjogren, mixed connective tissue disease and many more. It is a single test.

Immunofluorescence test is also helpful.

Consult your doctor and take treatment according to diagnosis.
