Question: Just got blood work back after a 10 day drinking binge. Ast 53, alt 64. Should I be concerned?

Brief Answer: Nothing to worry. Detailed Answer: Hi, Welcome to HCM. It is common to have elevated AST and ALT after a binge of alcohol. These should normalize after a few days abstinence. Your AST and ALT are elevated, but are not very much high. So, there is no need to worry. Taking alcohol in binges is more harmful than having small fixed amounts at regular intervals.
