Question: I need to ask about changes in blood pressure within minutes. About 30 min after morning coffee my blood pressure was 145-80 and hour after that 117-76. I kept cheking my blood pressure constantly. 15 min after 117 it was 125-79 and 30 min after that 145-80 and again 15 min later 126-78 and 10 min after that 142-79 and 15 min later again 25-78. heart rate was constant. Should i be worried about these changes in blood pressure within short periood. I have been very nervous and anxcious lately, havent had enough sleep and living in fear of something being wrong with my healt. Why i checked blood pressure today was because i was lightheaded and felt so tired. Week ago i had panic attack ( at least i thought so) and my blood pressure shot up to 178-82 and 30 min later was 145-79 and hour after 135-78

Brief Answer:
No worries, not a hypertension. Just normal variation sof systolic pressure

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. A blood pressure is called hypertension when it constantly stays up high no matter what you do, you sleep, you walk, you lie down it does not come down. Rest variation in blood pressure with diet , lifestyle, daily activities etc is perfectly normal . That is need of the hour. But if it is coming down then it is not hypertension> For example you had anxiety / panic attack, that is definitely causing shoot out of BP but pressures drops back to normal. Similarly if a person runs in an exercise or sprints then the blood pressure may shoot to even 200 and above . Systolic blood pressure varies all the time. Diastolic pressure stays constant below 100 if there is no disease. If you see your readings, none of your diastolic has even reached 90. So that is a good thing. It is a normal variation and not a disease. So no worries.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.
