Brief Answer:
Please find details below

Detailed Answer:
Hi by XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. A MRA of the neck contains 500 or more pictures in DICOM format which are medical standard images to be seen at the workstation. It is not possible to send the contents of the disc by email.

2. I have the software and workstation setup at my end. I request you to please upload your raw images (all the files in the MRI CD or DVD provided by your hospital) to a file sharing facility like Dropbox or Google drive and send me the download link. That way I can have a detailed look at all images.

3. If the above is not possible then you might upload a copy of the report and then we will discuss the findings.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek

Brief Answer:
Details not adequately visualized in images attached

Detailed Answer:
Hi by XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. The images uploaded do not give the complete information that is to be obtained before giving a professional opinion on the MRA of neck.

2. In a normal MRA neck there is a carotid and vertebral artery on each side of the neck. The carotid divides in to the internal and external carotid arteries and the internal carotid artery supplies the base of the brain anteriorly. The vertebral arteries ascend on the sides and posteriorly and join to form the basilar artery which bifurcates at the base of the brain to supply the posterior part of the brain. The course and caliber of the neck vessels are studied in the MRA. The images attached do not provide adequate visualization.

3. The first image shows the sagittal view of the neck vessels in MIP sequence. It roughly shows the carotid and vertebral arteries but does not delineate the vessels clearly and a lot of information on the appearance of vessels is lost because of overlapping. Additional orthogonal images in the coronal plane are required. These are generated at the work station and might be in the disc.

4. The other images show the distal internal carotid arteries anteriorly and basilar artery posteriorly in the axial section and are normal in these views.

5. In case you are not able to send all the images in DICOM, you might like to send across the report to help me discuss the MRA neck findings in detail.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
