Brief Answer:
You need treatment and strict follow up for beat out come.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to H.C.M.

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

After going through your Age and Lab reports , I advise your for treatment and strict follow up.

In my clinic with low XXXXXXX scores (6 or less) and low PSA levels (less than 10), I advise my patients to follow these steps.

1) Radiotherapy

Radiotherapy for cancer of the prostate is usually given from an external machine (external beam radiotherapy).

But for some men with early prostate cancer it can be given by inserting small radioactive seeds into the tumour (brachytherapy)

2) Strict lifelong follow up with PSA levels.

All the best.

Have a nice day and prosperous new year.

Hope this answers your question.

Please do not hesitate for any query.

I will be happy to answer your questions.

Thank you very much for your prompt answer.

If my PSA will remain in the vicinity of 7 to 8 levels why should I go into radiotherapy knowing that it has many side effects.

I read that some people live long if they have slow growing prostate cancer by watching the PSA rather than going into the side effects of treatment.

I do not feel that I have any symptoms had I not been tested for the XXXXXXX score which showed a result of 3+3 in the right gland only and without being spread outside it.

More doctors' opinion is to watch it , the other opinion is surgery and that's why I am seeking your opinion.

It's my turn to wish you a very happy New Year .

Brief Answer:
Radiation therapy is very effective and provide long remissions of disease.

Detailed Answer:
Hello xxxxxx,

Its my pleasure to help you.
I hope for your long life.

1) Watchful waiting-

Watchful waiting may be an option for many men with life expectancies less than 10 years.
It involves regular checkups and noninvasive tests to monitor the cancer, without actively treating it.

2)Radiation therapy-

Radiation therapy is very effective in early-stage prostate cancer and It is also often able to eliminate local disease.

It provide durable remissions of disease.

Advances in the precision of radiation therapy has decreased the risk of complications.

Most patients are able to resume normal daily activities shortly after prostate
cancer radiation therapy.

There are lot of ways to deal with most of the side effects after radiotherapy.

Brief Answer:
Yes ,brachytherapy have less side effects than radiotherapy.

Detailed Answer:

Its my pleasure to help you.

The radiation dose with brachytherapy is localized to the prostate , So the other common side effects of external radiotherapy are less likely to happened.

Prostate brachytherapy is most commonly performed using the low-dose rate(LDR) technique.
The LDR seed implant is typically an O.P.D procedure so you can go home later in the day .
You can travel for five hours after treatment after consulting your surgeon.

I need a time to give a complete details about best hospital in London for Brachytherapy and its cost.

Thanx.
