Question : Dear Sir/Madam,
I am 30 years of age. My weight is 65 kgs and height is 5 feet 8 inches. I regularly go to gym. I maintain a healthy diet and avoid junk food. My work life is sedentary. My stress levels are high. I am diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome for last 9/10 years. In last 3/4 years I have taken Normaxin-RT multiple times to get relief from IBS symptoms. I also I had occasional stomach upsets for which I had taken O-2 tablets and Rifagut. Additionally I have taken pantodac and lacto bacilli tablets. 2 years back I did thorough cardiac check up ( ECG , Echo , Treadmill ) and every thing was told normal. On the eve of turning 30 years I underwent routine blood check up. The reports are uploaded. My cholesterol levels, uric acid and vitamin levels are non nominal. Kindly advice me regarding the medicines to be taken and food habits/life style modifications to be changed.

Brief Answer:
No special intervention required.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
Hi, I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.
I have seen the attached reports. There is no gross abnormality there.
Following issues are there:
1. Vitamin B12 and D deficiency.
2. Low HDL (good cholesterol)
3. High uric acid.
I would advice you to take a supplement of Vitamin D 60K every week for 3 months and to get Vitamin B12 injections once a day for 7 days and then once weekly for 3 months. The deficiency would improve.
As far as Uric acid and HDL are concerned, you don't need to take any medicines for that.
I would advice you following for that:
1.Reduce your weight.
2.Avoid Fatty food in diet.
3.To consume potato, rice, oil, ghee, sweets, carbonated beverages in moderated amount only.
4. Avoid alcohol and smoking in case you do.
5. Drink plenty of water and avoid high quantity of legumes , non vegetarian diet.
6. In case you take egg, just take the egg white and leave the yellow egg yolk.

This is my personal opinion based on details available here. If you still have any other query, you may please ask me.
Stay Healthy.

Dear Sir,
Thanks for the prompt response.

1 ) I eat egg and chicken quite frequently. I do weight training thrice a week. If I leave egg and chicken what should I take after a heavy work out ? I have heard that weight training has be complemented by high protein intake.

2 ) What kind of legumes should I avoid ?

3 ) My triglyceride is 66 yet hdl is low and ldl is high. Can you throw some light into this ? What does low triglyceride indicate ?

4 ) Why vitamin B12 has depleted ?

Brief Answer:
Avoid high protein diet.

Detailed Answer:
Hi. It's not that you should not take chicken and eggs.
Prefer to eat boiled chicken and Avoid red meat in case you eat.
Legumes and stensils which you should avoid are Rajma, Arhar deal.
Low triglycerides doesn't signify any thing. It's a good point.
HDL is the good cholesterol and it should not be low.
Just taking a good diet and exercise will help you.
Vitamin B12 deficiency is very common and the most important source of vitamin B12 is liver of chicken.
Overall there are no major issues in your reports.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
