Brief Answer:
Dietary modifications required

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I read your query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1)You need to make dietary modifications like cutting sugar intake as well as oil intake.

2) Your OGTT levels are not extremely high as to warrant Glycomet 500 SR. I think you can control just by diet and excercise.

3) You can avoid the tablet for some more time after discussing with your doctor.

4) Continue Livogen and MA-DHA capsules.

5) Mother's horlicks and sugar in tea best stopped. Please stop them.

6) Have Low glycemic index foods like multigrain or whole wheat chapati, oat meal, legumes, lentils etc..which can have slow absorption and avoids sudden spurt in glucose levels. You can have fruits like apples, oranges, plums, strawberries and pears.

7) Better to avoid high glycemic index foods like White bread, white rice, potato, fruits like melons and pineapple.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Regards,
Dr. Soumya
