Question : I took a blood routine test Tlc : 10200 Polymorphs : 76 Monocyte 00% Esr 35mm/1st hr I had fever few days ago Is there anythng serious?

Brief Answer: Your findings are not serious at all. Detailed Answer: Hello XXXXX Thanks for writing to HCM You have absolutely normal reports. Total leukocyte(WBC) count is within normal limit.Its normal range is 4000-13000 /cu mm. Polymorphs (Neutrophil) count is also within normal limit. ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate )is increased,it may be due to recent history of fever. So,your findings are not serious at all. Get well soon. Hope I have answered your question. But my monocyte and basophils are 0% So is there any thing to worry XXXXXXX that???

Brief Answer: Please find detail answer below. Detailed Answer: Hello XXXXX Thanks for writing back Low monocyte count is also related to infection.Normal level of monocyte count is 2% to 8%. Some bacterial infection causes lowering of monocyte count in blood.It may also be due to deficiency of vitamins like vitamin B 12 and folic acid,so you can empirically take Vitamin B complex capsule and folic acid tablet once daily .
