                                            Question : Hi
I m 36 years old boy
I had lasik laser surgery in my eye in 2002 when I was 22 years old
Before lasik my eye power was -3 spherical in both eyes
After 5 or 6 years my number came back but this time it was cylendrical number along with spherical and my number now is
-2.75 in left eye (Cyl)
-5.5 in right eye (Cyl)
My number in both eyes is stable from the last 6 years and I can see 6/6 with glasses
I also got topography in XXXXXXX 2015 and since then topography is also the same
I am attaching my reports
Am I suffering from post lasik ecstasia ?
And does all post lasik progress to tally a point that corneal transplantation is required ?
Can progression stop permanently also ?

Post LASIK ectasia
Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thank for sending your query to us.
You did develop post LASIK ectasia and now it has settled. As there is no change occurring now,we can presume that it is unlikely to progress now.
As it is stable now you can rest assured, still it will be good to keep track of progression and have check up every year or two.
Do get back to me in case of any further queries in this regard.

What exactly is meant by post LASIK ecstasia ?
I mean is it different from having a cylendrical power ?
Is it possible that my power remains stable forever now ( I understand 100 percent nothing can be predicted ) and there is no further progression ?

All I want to know is that what are the chances of further progression ?
Or if there Is no progression since last 6 years or more then there is no chance ?
Secondly how is the result of cross linking procedure

Detailed Answer:
My dear,
After 16 years of stability we can safely presume that eye is now stable.
Results of cross linkage are very good and it is a safe technique.
