Brief Answer:
Please find details below

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX,
Thanks fir writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. Hemoglobin is normal at 13.4

2. Total leukocyte count and differential count is also normal

3. Platelet count is slightly below normal

4. Red blood cell parameters are normal.

5. Blood sugar random is raised at 200

6. Serum cholesterol is normal

7. HDL cholesterol is normal

8. LDL cholesterol is slightly increased at 135

9. Serum triglycerides is increased at 270

10. Urine test and stool is almost normal.

11. It is important to know if you are known to have diabetes and high cholesterol and if you are taking treatment for it. I also recommend that you get glycosylated hemoglobin HbA1C blood test done to know about your diabetic state accurately. Kidney function test like serum creatinine is also to be done.

12. It is important to follow a restricted diet and controlled lifestyle and bring down the sugar and cholesterol level. Since the levels are high and you have also consult your doctor, it is important to know what is the treatment suggested by the doctor. Your diet should include 1800 to 2200 kcal daily. Fats and sugars have to be reduced. If you are taking any medicine called metformin for diabetes control then taking vitamin B 12 is important.

13. We can discuss further management of your problems based on the prescription of your doctor. I want to know what treatment has been recommended. It is important to know if you have any symptoms like fever right now.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Brief Answer:
Triglyceride level has come to normal range in this report

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. The kidney function test is normal.

2. Liver function shows mild elevated enzymes and this can be due to many causes including infection, inflammation and taking medicine. However this is not a serious concern. It is also raised in people taking alcohol so if you are taking alcohol regularly then it is suggested to reduce it. With proper care it will come to normal in a month.

3. Lipid profile is normal in this report. I would like to know if you are taking medicine for cholesterol or doing strict diet change. Triglycerides was high last time. If these values are maintained then there is no need to worry.

4. Fasting blood sugar is at upper limit of normal and not really a problem that requires any treatment.

5. Blood counts including platelets is normal.

6. Typhoid test is normal.

7. Urine test is normal in the report.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Brief Answer:
Please find details below

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. Liver enzymes usually come back to normal within a month if it is due to mild infection. If you regularly take alcohol then please avoid or decrease it. There is Liv.52 tablet which is known to be protective for the liver and recommended by many doctors. It is herbal medicine and has no known side effects. In dose of 2 tablets three times daily you might take it for a month and repeat SGPT and SGOT test after one month.

2. There is no diabetes and fasting sugar was at upper limit of normal. Therefore if you follow strict diet then it your sugar level might be controlled. Please follow sample diet like the one given below.

Early Morning

A cup of tea/ milk with 2 biscuits of your choice

Breakfast

2 parathas with curd or 2 plain rotis with paneer or 2 idlis with chutney/sambhar or 1 bowl of upma or oats and one egg occasionally

Mid morning

Soup or a whole fruit (apple or guava)

Lunch

Salad with rotis (2 to 3) or rice (1 bowl) with dal/ sambhar and a cup of vegetable. Occasionally you can add some light fries in lunch. You can add two vegetables every day or non veg two pieces twice weekly.

Afternoon

Tea/ juice with 2 biscuits

Dinner

Same as in lunch with slight variation. Dinner should be lighter than lunch
Milk after dinner

Hope your query is answered.
