Brief Answer:
Do urine culture as well first!

Detailed Answer:
HI and thanks so much for this query.

I have reviewed your information fully.

1. The ultrasound report suggests that you mild have something blocking the passage system of urine from the kidneys to the bladder. This will normally cause pain in the abdomen and not pain when urinating. Because your pain is abdominal, this has to be explored further. It might very much represent a kidney stone. For now, you need to drink much water as this prevents stones from forming and can help flush out stones in the collecting ducts.

2. I will not recommend antibiotics right away as your symptoms are not very typical of an infection. I recommend that you go ahead and do a urine culture first. If an infection is confirmed, at that time only will I recommend antibiotics for further care.

In all, possible obstruction along collecting ducts. I encourage you to drink much water, do a urine culture and see a urologist for further evaluation.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me as you please.

Hi Doctor,
Thank you for your reply..
i also thought of the same as you told me

i have seen a Urologist and he told me for blood test to see function of kidney then do a XXXXXXX X-ray & CT scan
do you think it is okay for a CT scan?

he told me to search internet for PUJ to find better results of this

as per your advise i will today have a urine test done again and request for culture test than will forward to you the results.

please reply asap

thanks

Brief Answer:
I agree with this plan!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Am glad to know you followed up with this.

1. The results are appropriate and will provide further needed details to pinpoint the cause and establish a treatment plan.

2. PUJ-the junction where the collecting system of the kidneys meet with the ureters is a common area for blockage. Further exams will let us know if this is where the main concern is.

3. I look forward to receiving the added tests from urine culture and providing additional guidance.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me as you please for more clarifications and information.

Your kidneys are functioning perfect!

Hi,

I have reviewed the attached results. Your kidney function test show that all is normal. All the electrolytes are equally normal and there is just nothing that you should be concerned about.

I hope this guides and helps. If any further worries, kindly keep me updated.
