Brief Answer:
Pregabalin can be used

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

First of all I like to inform you that after the salmonella typhi infection many of the individuals experience variety of symptoms including pain, weakness, fatigue, low energy among others. There is good possibility that your brother is experiencing the similar effects of recent typhoid infection. My conclusion is based on the fact that he needed multiple antibiotics which either suggests severity of infection or drug resistance of infection.

I also like to inform you that 1:40 of typhoid titre is completely normal and 1800 of vitamin B12 is higher but it does not cause any harm.

Having said this I feel the best way to cure the current problem is to wait for some time. Most of the individuals report improvement in a period of one month while few of them may take upto three months to show complete recovery.

In case the enough time has passed I feel prescribing him pregabalin may help. I often prescribe 75 mg twice a day in similar problems and get good results.

I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

Among the attached reports there is clear indication that the liver was affected. I am not sure whether he takes alcohol but the elevation of GGT in liver profile probably indicates for alcohol abuse.

I must also acknowledge there are other conditions which can cause a similar elevation in liver profile.

In case the insulating substance has already been stopped there is nothing to worry about it.

I hope this helps you further.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
