Question: Good day Dr Spaho

Patient XXXX was involved in a recent accident 17 Nov, 2016 at 03:15. X-Rays were taken at Banglamung Hospital, and have been made available at:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B90glucIcidFUHhxLTFkemNFVW8?usp=sharing, more specifically, DICOM set in folder 0000-0340.

What is your interpretation on injuries, specifically with respect to left fibula in 0000-0320.png in the 0000-0340 folder?

What advice and you offer and would the typical treatment and time be for correct recovery following this injury?

Brief Answer:
Fibular fracture to be treated conservatively, consider tibia as well.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back XXXX.

Sorry for the delay, I wasn't able to respond you before because of technical issues.

I examined the x-rays you uploaded and my opinion is that there is a fracture of fibular bone that needs to be treated conservatively ( immobilization with gypsum cast ) for three to four weeks.

But, there is necessary also for a reevaluation of the tibial plateau about a possible fracture with new x-rays of this region.

In case of tibial plateau fracture confirmation, surgery may be necessary.

Discuss with your Orthopedic Surgeon about these issues.

Hope I helped you.

Kind regards.
