What Do This T4 Value Of 1.0 And TSH Value Of 4.580 Indicate?
Question: I have hypothyroid & saw a doctor in May. She gave me medication 50mcg synthroid and had blood test done. She has raised my medication to 75mcg and now 100mcg based on labs. Is this normal. I told her office that I was feeling worst on 75mcg. I am so sleepy, irritable, and dreaming all night. My t4 is 1.00 & my TSH is 4.580. Should I be concerned?

As your T4 value 1.00 and TSh value is 4.580 which is still abnormal and so,it is lacking the proper dosage.
Your symptoms like sleepy,irritable or dreaming could be related to your hypothyroid state as your T4 value is low and TSH value is still high means the dosage is insufficient for that reason your doctor have increased the dose up to 100 mcg.
May be your this symptoms would get subsided when your both of this values will come back to normal which might take 1 to 2 months time with regular medications.
So,i would advice you to take sufficient dosage (here 100 mcg as also prescribed by your treating doctor) and to undergo thyroid profile again after couple of months.
