What Do You Think Could Be Causing Nauseating Headaches Issues?
Question: Hello…. I have a situation doctors have not been able to help me with. They don’t seem to know what’s wrong and it doesn’t seem like they’ve tried to find out what it is. For years I’ve noticed I get nauseating headaches IF I drink more than 28 ounces of water in a day. I’m guessing I have something wrong with my kidneys because I get dangerous adrenaline spikes if someone angers me when driving and my legs start shaking uncontrollably, my blood pressure spikes causing pain in the back of my head and in my lower back. Blood work to check kidney function is within range but I have not had a urinalysis done. Should I request that from my doctor? She thinks it’s not needed, (the last time I asked). What do you think could be causing these issues? Also I should mention I can’t drink any alcohol either without getting a serious headache before even feeling buzzed or drunk. I’m just trying to mention anything I can think of that might give you an idea of what is causing my issues. Thank you

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query
As per your description the symptoms are not related to any systemic diseases or kidney related issues.
Renal function test(blood assessment of renal function) is superior and more reliable than urine analysis, urine analysis does not yield much information and may not be useful in your case. However you can ask for one just for reassurance.
Most probably the symptoms are due to anxiety or panic attacks.
28 ounce is less than one litre and one must take more water per day.
If the vomiting starts immediately after taking water or is it a delayed presentation?
Thanks
