Question : What does 496 creatinine level in my urine mean? My blood creatinine and BUN numbers are well within the normal range as is my blood pressure. Would like a nephrologist to answer my question.

creatinine is a waste product in the body and is thrown out in the urine. the more the value in urine the better.

If blood creatinine values are OK ( as mentioned) there is no concern.

Thank-you! I wanted to buy life insurance for myself so my State Farm agent sent a nurse to my home to do some blood / urine / ht wt tests ect. Needless to say everything seemed to fall within normal ranges except for the urine creatinine levels. Thank-you for easing my mind--I was thinking the worst! XXXXXXX
