What Does CT Scan Showing Nodules On Lungs Indicate?

I was told I have a few nodules on my lung through a CT Scan the largest being .98 cm. How concerned should I be? I'm not a smoker and I'm a 43y/o female.
Subcentimetric nodules need follow up.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting the query on HCM. After going through the query, I would like to comment the following:
1. You seem to have been diagnosed with subcentimetric lung nodules on ct scan thorax.
2. Considering your history of seasonal allergies, this could be related to that- Eosinophilic lung disease Your peripheral blood eosinophil counts and serum IgE levels need to be detrmined.
3. Other investigation of help would be - Pulmonary function test, ESR, Sputum if any needs to be examined.
4. A 2 to 3 weeks of antibiotic course may be required.
5. Do you have occupational /residential exposure to any sort of inhaled dust/ fumes currently or in the past?
6. There are many causes of such nodules ranging from infective causes to non infective ones.
7. You need to get yourself clinicaly evaluated in detail by a Pulmonologist.
I hope I have answered your query. I will be glad to answer follow up queries if any. Please accept my answer if you have no follow up queries.
