Hi ,

Thanks for posting your query

Sinuses are cavities located in the eyes, nose, cheeks and when they are inflammed either by infection or allergy it causes pain and pressure around the eyes, nose and facial region.Frontal sinus is located on either side of forehead above the eyes and inflammation of this is known as Frontal sinusitis.

DNS is deviated nasal septum that is the cartilage which separates the two nostrils is not in a straight line.It is very common to have DNS which can be due to nasal allergy, breathing troubles, chronic sinusitis.

Turbinates are small structures inside the nose that clean the air which passes from the nose to lungs.Hypertrophy means enlargement of these structures which can lead to difficulty in breathing.

Regarding the treatment for sinusitis:
1)Take steam inhalation 3 times a day.You can add few drops of Euclyaptus oil in the water. This is the best cure for clogged sinus.
2)Take Vitamin C tablets once daily for a month. Also include citrus fruits, lemonade, strawberries, tomato soup which are high in Vitamin C content.
3)Mix cinnamon powder with water and make a paste.Apply it to forehead. It will help in easing pain.

Do not use Vozet daily, it causes side effects.Use only when required. You will have to discuss with your General Physician about it.

DNS usually does not interfere with the daily routine and can be left as such but along with hypertrophied turbinates Nasal sprays containing steroid can be used under Medical Supervision. They help to reduce inflammation.

If the medications do not help at all then Surgery is the only option in which either the septum is straightened or turbinates are reduced.

Hope this answers your query. I will be available for follow up if any

Hi again,

Thanks for the follow up query.

I can understand your prblem but taking Vozet daily is not a cure, it just gives you symptomatic relief.

You have to take course of antibiotics whenever you suffer from severe sinusitis and you have to go for surgery as a definite solution.

You can discuss with the ENT specialist regarding this.

Steam inhalation will unclog the sinuses and thus frontal pain would not be there.

I suggest to avoid taking Vozet on a daily basis.

Wishing you speedy recovery.

Regards,
