Question : I did my routine medical checking everything okay experience the what they call it Hinckley which is 6.341 and my Random Glucose 101 mu Dr. Advice me to take Glucophage (Metformi) 500 2 times a day.I am 72 years old 98 Kilo .He said it will help to control that.What your advice Dr. Thank you.

Noted your concern. I guess your HbA1c is 6.34% and Random gucose is 101. I would wait to start on any drug in a hurry. METFORMIN is a great drug, but at your age, i would go a bit slow. The best option is to get a 75 gram glucose tolerence test. This will guide us further
