Question : I took zithro 1000mg once for what may be an std. it was four days ago and the symptoms are much better but not gone yet. Should I go back to my doctor?

Brief Answer: Hi and welcome to HCM Detailed Answer: You can wait for several more days and see will there be improvement since symptoms may persist up to 7 days after antibiotic course. if there would be still symptoms, you should do std testing and verify the exact cause of std. Clamydia in most cases can be cured with single dose of zithro,but gonnorhea,trichomonas or other may require another antibiotic.
