What Does A BP Of 171/98 In An Elderly Indicate?

Question: I am a 72 year old man. My normal blood pressure is 134/72. For the last three days, it has been around 171/98.
Should I be worried?

Normal blood pressure < 120/80 mmhg
the pre-hypertensive stage is 120-139/80-89 mmhg
grade 1 (mild ) is 140-159/90-99 mmhg
grade 2 (moderate ) is 160-179/100-109 mmhg
above that range, is severe hypertension.

Your blood pressure is perfectly normal.

Your blood pressure is in grade 2 at presentand you should start taking medications like Amlodipine.
