Question : my uncle is 93 / his psa is 11,6. what is his chances for survival and how long does he have
Brief Answer:
Hello. He requires biopsy to confirm the disease
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. A raised psa gives suspicion of prostate cancer. A biopsy of prostate is required to confirm the disease. Then an MRI or a pet scan can be done to stage the disease.. If it is early stage, then no treatment is required. If advanced, then hormonal treatment can be done. Life expectancy will be normal.
Thanks and regards
