Question : JMy father Aged 69 is suffering from prostate cancer. His PSA reading was 162 and after 3 months of treatment it came down to 3.84 but now in the 5th month his PSA is again raised to 318. We have consulted many doctors some are suggesting surgery and some are saying that medication alone can help. We are really confused in opting amongst the two. Now it is spreading to other parts too. We even have current report of CBC, LFT, RFT, sugar, MRI pelvis, bone scan, X-ray DL spine, u/s whole abdomen. If required can send the soft copies. Plz suggest the best.

Hello and thank you for asking. I have gone carefully through your question.First of all i need to know the biopsy results and if he have other treatment or surgery.
In the 5th month his PSA is again raisd to 318,so hi have now progressive disease again.
That is not good news.If the cancer its spreading to other parts the surgery it is not on option,so the right decission are the madication alone.

Please tell me in witch part of the body the cancer has spread and what are the treatment he have been taken.The good news is that now we have a treatment choice for the prostate cancer.
