                                            Question : Hi Doctor,
I havent been sexually active in 6 or so years. 3 days ago i woke up and noticed a single bump in the area between my scrotum and anus. It didnt itch or hurt and i couldnt feel it at all until i touch it. It feels and looks like a pimple. The bump isnt isolated to the surface of the skin but goes deeper under the surface. It popped this morning and blood came out. Its isnt crusting over and doesnt look like an ulcer. What could this be? Its a little scary. Any ideas.

                                    Brief Answer:
I suggest oral and topical antbiotic for a week
Detailed Answer:
hello. thank you for writing to us.
I am Dr. kakkar(dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.
Perhaps it is just a bacterial skin and soft tissue infection. I suggest you to take an oral antibiotic e.g Cephalexin( Cap. Phexin BD, 750mg), twice daily for a week.
Topically you may use an antibacterial ointment e.g T Bact ointment (mupirocin 2%), twice daily.
Regards

From what I describe, would there be any reason to suspect that it might be a herpes lesion?

Didn't sound like genital herpes
Detailed Answer:
hi.
Genital herpes usually presents as multiple grouped erosions and fluid filled blisters associated with pain and burning sensation. From the description that you gave it did not seem like genital herpes.
