Question : If a mass is found in the stomach with the person vomiting blood and having blood in the bowel movement, is that a sure sign of cancer?
Brief Answer:
Not necessarily
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Healthcare Magic forum.
I am Dr Aslam here to help you.
A bleeding mass in stomach is not always a cancer. There are many benign and well curable conditions like polyps, stromal tumors etc.If you had no complaints like poor apatite, significant weight loss etc, this is more probably benign.
Anyhow, certainly we have to rule out malignancies like carcinoma/lymphoma.
These can be differentiated with surety by imaging studies and endoscopic biopsy.
Your treating doctor will guide you.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have further questions,I will be happy to help.
Wishing for everything to be good,Thank you.
