What Does A Blocked Sensation In The Ears Indicate During An Infection?

Question: Over a month ago I had a bad viral infection and have had blocked feeling in ears ever since. Last few days now my lower jaw has felt heavy like it's hard to keep it closed. It's actually affecting my sleep too. Wondering what is going on?

Welcome to Healthcare Magic and thanks for putting up the query.
Viral infection causing sore throat or nasal blockage often leads to eustachian tube blockage leading to middle ear infection and fullness in the ears.
The jaw symptoms are also due to this only.
Take a combination of levocetrizine plus pseudoephedrine twice daily for a week along with nasal drops like otrivin 3 times a day.
Take diclofenac plus serratiopeptidase twice daily.
All the medicine prescribed by me will be available only on prescription.
Take steam inhalation and chew a gum.
Any further questions are always welcome.
Avoid chewing any hard things like nuts for few days.
