Visit hospital for Consultant Surgeon or Medical Specialist for workup
Detailed Answer:
hello
thank you for the follow up query.
First of all its very very unlikely to be cancer so you should relax and stop thinking for such diseases. Multiple diseases presents with similar symptoms. Its job of a doctor to correlate it correctly and reach a definitive diagnosis with the help of some investigations. I would suggest you not to go deep by surfing from internet. It will only make you stressed. I would suggest you to visit hospital and get an appointment for a Consultant surgeon or Medical Specialist for work-up. They will take detailed history, examine you thoroughly and will order some investigations like CBC, Ultrasound leg (to rule out DVT) and may go for biopsy of vein to confirm diagnosis. Treatment will depend upon the results from above mentioned things. So the best thing at this point for you will be to get an appointment for a Consultant Surgeon or Medical Specialist.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it. I'll be available 24/7 for if you need any guidance.
Wishing you good health !!

Detailed Answer:
hello
thank you for the followup query.
First and MOST IMPORTANT thing to do is RELAX. I mentioned earlier that stress and anxiety almost always aggravates the problem. Inflammation of vessels takes time to recover. With appropriate antibiotic and steroid therapy it usually resolves. At the moment you do NOT need blood thinners. Varicose veins occurs because of incompetent valves in venous channels of legs. Its treatment is surgery. You need to consult a general surgeon for varicose vein. Your treating MD is awaiting autoimmune lab results (ANA, etc) which is correct thing. There are a number of risk factors for Superficial Thrombophlebitis. Most common include:
- varicose veins
- smoking
- obesity
- hormone induced
- drug induced
The prognosis in superficial thrombophlebitis is usually good. Once again i would suggest you to relax and wait for the lab results. Your treating doctor will then start you on medication. Meanwhile you can take surgical opinion regarding varicose veins from a general surgeon.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it. I'll be available 24/7 for if you need any guidance.
Wishing you good health !!
