Brief Answer:
This will respond to antibiotics.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic

I am Dr. Dadapeer K, an ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you are having lump on the eyelid secondary to bacterial infection. This is called as hordeolum and it is because of infection of the glands of the eyelid.

The treatment is by use of antibiotics and antiinflammatory drugs.
The treatment you are using in the form of Tolpa D and Nebracin is in right direction.
Tolpa D is an antiinflammatory drug and Nebracin is antibiotic and these two can be used.
This usually takes 5-7 days for resolution.

Since it is not responding to treatment , this indicates that the antibiotic is probably not sensutive.

Hence we need to change the antibiotic.
I usually prefer to use broad spectrum antibiotics like Moxifloxacin eye ointment.
Along with topical antibiotics I prefer to use oral antibiotics in my practice and this controls infection quickly.
I usually use broad spectrum antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin or Ofloxacin for 5 days.

Along with medical treatment applying hot compression provides symptomatic relief.

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for prescription of drugs.
If possible do send a photo of the affected eye so that I can confirm the diagnosis and advice you more accurately.

Hope the information is helpful to you.

Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you

Brief Answer:
It is hordeolum as I had mentioned.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up question.

I reviewed your history and the photo attached with the question.
This is hordeolum as I mentioned in my previous answer.
This requires treatment by the use of antiinflammatory drugs and antibiotics.
Hence you need to continue the use of antiinflammatory drugs like Tolpa D and antibiotic eye ointment as advised by me in the previous answer.
Applying hot compression will provide better symptomatic relief.

This will resolve in 1 week.
Rarely this can persist as a firm mass called as chalazion. Hence review back after 1 week.

Hope this information is helpful to you.

Do write back to me with further questions.

Thank you
