Question : What happens if gallbladder collapse ? What it means ?
Brief Answer:
Suggestive of contracted gall bladder.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Manayilds, Hi Welcome.
Thanks for posting your query on healthcare magic.
The findings of 'collapsed' gall bladder indicate that it is contracted (retracted).
It means there is no bile in it at the time of scanning. Usually it gets contracted after taking fatty meals because the digestion of such meals require bile (the secretion from the liver). It can also be due to chronic cholecystitis (inflammation of the gall bladder) caused by gall stones.
Hope I could answer your query. However should you have any follow up query I shall be glad to answer it.
Best regards.
