Question : my 15 year old daughter has a hard dark lump in her armpit. she said it has been bothering her for about a week. this morning it opened and there is white milky fluid coming out. should I take her to see our family doctor or should I take her to be seen sooner?

Detailed Answer:
this is obviously axillar abscess which is usually caused by inflammed hair follicle. this is not srious, especially if it perforated spontaneously as in her case. she should try to squeeze it and evacuate pus and then clean it few times per day. if lump grows or persist then it should be managed surgically.
