I would explain as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that it is important to determine the type of heart rhythm during these episodes of tachycardia:

1- If it is a sinusal rhythm and these episodes are short, there is nothing to worry about.
2- If it is an irregular heart rate, indicating cardiac arrhythmia, further tests should be done to investigate for the possible causes.

I would like to review her Holter monitoring, if you can upload it for a second professional opinion, in order to determine the type of rhythm.

If a cardiac arrhythmia is suspected, or if this tachycardia is persistent during the day, I would recommend performing further tests:

- a cardiac ultrasound to examine her cardiac function and structure
- a chest X ray study
- thyroid hormone levels for possible thyroid dysfunction
- complete blood count for anemia
- blood electrolytes for possible imbalance
- an arterial blood gas analysis.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

If you have any other uncertainties, feel free to ask me again!

Kind regards,

Dr. Aida
